Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist - Hybrid NYC



Manhattan $80,000-$110,000 Direct Hire Hybrid

Medix is hiring an experienced Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist for a growing healthcare technology company in Manhattan.

This position combines hands-on insurance A/R and denial resolution with revenue cycle analysis, workflow improvement, and new client implementation.





Responsibilities




- Work physician-side insurance A/R across multiple healthcare clients
- Research and resolve denied, underpaid, rejected, and outstanding claims
- Handle payer follow-up, appeals, corrected claims, and reconsiderations
- Analyze recurring denial and reimbursement trends
- Identify root causes and workflow issues contributing to aged A/R
- Navigate multiple payer portals, clearinghouses, EMRs, and billing systems
- Support onboarding and implementation of new clients
- Document payer and billing workflows
- Partner with internal and client teams to improve reimbursement outcomes






Qualifications




- 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle, insurance A/R, medical billing, or claims experience
- Strong hands-on denial management and payer follow-up experience
- Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer knowledge
- Experience resolving complex claims through research and follow-up
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable adapting to different specialties, systems, and client workflows
- Experience identifying denial trends or process improvement opportunities


Preferred backgrounds include orthopedics, DME, behavioral health, cardiology, multi-specialty physician billing, revenue integrity, or revenue cycle analytics.





Schedule



Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

Hybrid, typically 3-4 days onsite in Midtown Manhattan

Fridays remote
