Job Description
Role Summary
The Senior Oncology Account Specialist (SOAS) promotes and educates healthcare providers about a portfolio of oncology products, aiming to enhance patient care and strengthen brand presence. They assess account landscapes, build lasting relationships with key opinion leaders and institutions, and develop strategic plans to meet sales objectives.
Responsibilities Include
• Promoting products and disease state knowledge to healthcare professionals
• Generating demand and managing accounts within assigned territories
• Overcoming access obstacles and cultivating relationships with key customers
• Addressing customer needs with targeted resources and communication skills
• Engaging in strategic account planning and leveraging resources effectively
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 4+ years of pharmaceutical sales or oncology healthcare professional experience
• Strong knowledge of oncology, especially breast cancer, and customer markets
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and technical presentation skills
• Ability to adapt to digital tools and work in a matrix environment
• Willingness to travel domestically and possess a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
• 3-5 years of oncology sales experience
• Experience with institutions, NCI centers, and key opinion leaders
• Advanced healthcare degrees or specialized experience in breast cancer
