Job Description
Role Overview: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist applies expertise in nuclear medicine imaging, ensuring safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administers radionuclide therapy and prepares radiopharmaceuticals for procedures, including off-hour and urgent cases.
• Performs quality control, checks orders, schedules exams, and determines immediate or scheduled procedures.
• Maintains adherence to protocols, QA, and regulatory standards while interacting professionally with patients and care teams.
• Coordinates imaging procedures, reviews images for quality, and adjusts as needed.
• Starts IV access, administers medications, and handles radioactive materials safely.
• Monitors patient conditions, records information, and communicates effectively with team members and medical professionals.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Certification/registration with ARRT or NMTCB required; state licensure preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited institute preferred; 1+ year of nuclear medicine experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and active listening skills.
