Job Description
Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Georgetown, Washington, DC
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities
-
Analyze design requirements, specifications, and performance criteria to develop electrical systems that meet client expectations, code requirements, and life safety standards.

Lead and oversee electrical system design throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

Coordinate electrical designs with project teams, other engineering disciplines, and Project Managers.
-
Represent the Electrical discipline during project coordination and client meetings.
-
Provide construction-phase support, including submittal reviews and RFI responses.
-
Mentor and support the professional development of engineering staff.
-
Assist in developing and maintaining electrical design standards and best practices.
-
Support quality control initiatives in collaboration with senior engineering leadership.
-
Serve as a senior technical resource, providing guidance and expertise to project engineers and designers.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
-
10+ years of focused electrical design experience.
-
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
-
Proficiency in Revit.
-
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, leadership, and project teams.
-
Thorough understanding of applicable building codes, electrical systems design, and life safety requirements.
