Senior Cytotechnologist

Yale New Haven Health System is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cytotechnologist to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate will be a compassionate and enthusiastic healthcare professional with a passion for providing high-quality patient care.The Senior Cytotechnologist will work with a team of cytotechnologists and pathologists to screen and analyze cytologic samples for the diagnosis of neoplastic and other diseases. The Senior Cytotechnologist must be able to perform independently and provide technical oversight to the cytology department.To be successful in this role, the Senior Cytotechnologist must have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field and at least 5 years of experience in clinical cytology. The Senior Cytotechnologist must have or be eligible for certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). In addition, the Senior Cytotechnologist must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
