Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in coordinating comprehensive nursing care, which includes direct patient care, patient and family education, and managing transitions of care. You will support professional nursing practice within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, taking responsibility for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all aspects of nursing care for assigned patients. You will also lead through mentoring, quality improvement efforts, and may guide patient care based on various factors including skill level and patient needs. This position may require some employees to utilize their personal vehicles for work-related responsibilities.

This position qualifies for TN sponsorship.

Qualifications
• Graduation from a baccalaureate nursing program accredited by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA. If you graduated from a non-accredited program, you must have at least one year of RN experience in a suitable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
• One year of RN experience in Hematology/Oncology inpatient or outpatient areas is required.
• Chemotherapy Infusion experience is preferred.
• ONS Chemotherapy certification is preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience collaborating effectively in a team setting.
• Proficient computer skills, with prior experience using electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations in the workplace.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, effective communication, and critical thinking abilities.
• Current RN license in accordance with applicable state requirements.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be valid for 90 days after starting, from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Position Duration: This is a temporary role for six months, from September 2026 to February 2027.

Schedule Details: Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; 24 hours per week on three 8-hour shifts.

Weekend Schedule: No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call duties.

International Assignments: No
