Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential speech and language support at an elementary school near New Rochelle, NY. This position focuses on speech-language services in an in-person setting, dedicated to helping young learners thrive in their communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC certification (SLP-CCC).
• Experience working with diverse elementary-aged students, including non-verbal learners.
• Strong skills in conducting targeted, effective speech/language sessions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish ability is highly preferred for broader student engagement.
• Comfortable working three days per week with a consistent schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver 28 speech/language sessions per week, each lasting 30 minutes, exclusively in-person.
• Facilitate daily therapy for a variety of student groups, averaging ten 30-minute sessions per day.
• Develop and implement individualized strategies to address students’ speech and language goals.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of student progress and session outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding student progress and needs.
Position Details:
• Contract position, available ASAP through June 25th.
• Schedule: Three days per week, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.
• Totaling 5.5 hours per day, 16.5 hours per week.
• All sessions must be provided in person at the elementary site.
