Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Imaging

Job Description

Exciting opportunity for nurses who want to work in the high-energy environment of Diagnostic Imaging. Nurses will be responsible for the preparation of patients for CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine studies. Excellent critical thinking and IV skills are essential, with experience in contrast administration being a plus. BLS (American Heart Association) and telemetry are required, while ACLS and PALS certifications are desirable but not mandatory.

Schedule

This is a D/E/N rotating shift position with requirements for holidays, weekends, on-call, callback, and charge per unit duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for various imaging studies, including CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine.

• Administer IVs and contrast media, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Utilize critical thinking to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.

• Monitor patient conditions during procedures, maintaining telemetry experience.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York RN License - Required

• Two (2) years of relevant experience - Required

• BLS (American Heart Association) Certification - Required

• Telemetry experience - Required

• ACLS (American Heart Association) Certification - Preferred

• PALS (American Heart Association) Certification - Highly desired

• Excellent critical thinking and IV skills - Required

• Experience with contrast administration - Desired
