Registered Nurse (RN) – Cancer Center Infusion

Location: New York, NY 10041
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day | 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
Schedule: 4x10 Hours | 40 Hours/Week | No Weekends

Pay Rate:

Traveler $85 - $92
Local: $80 - $85

Required Qualifications:
• Active New York State RN license — Required
• AHA BLS certification — Required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification — Required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Chemotherapy Infusion experience — Required
• Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills
• Phlebotomy experience
• Outpatient oncology infusion experience — Preferred
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to safely administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy

Responsibilities:
• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy according to physician orders and established protocols
• Perform IV insertion, venipuncture, and phlebotomy
• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments
• Monitor patients for infusion reactions and provide appropriate interventions
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses throughout treatment
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and assessments
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary cancer-care team
• Follow chemotherapy safety, infection-control, and patient-safety standards
• Provide compassionate and patient-centered oncology care
