Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology MedSurg - Nights

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, individualized patient care within an interdisciplinary team on an Oncology Medsurg Unit. They ensure safety, promote evidence-based practices, and uphold professional standards in a clinical environment supported by shared governance and organizational models.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nursing processes—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, collaborating effectively with patients and families.
• Coordinate safe, efficient care documentation and promote a respectful, inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to support workforce development and professional growth.
• Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and protocol development to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates or Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure (single or multi-state). BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience in direct patient care.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, respond to emergencies, and utilize technology effectively.
• Critical thinking and time management skills essential for delivering safe, effective care.
