Job Description
Lead the charge in delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care in our dynamic oncology infusion setting. As a Registered Nurse in Oncology Infusion, you'll be at the heart of our patients' healing journey, utilizing the full nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to craft personalized care plans that make a real difference. You'll take ownership of patient and family education, coordinate seamlessly with our healthcare team, and champion solutions that transform patient outcomes. Your clinical expertise, leadership presence, and collaborative spirit will inspire confidence in patients, families, and colleagues alike.
Key Responsibilities
Champion compassionate, evidence-based patient care by conducting thorough assessments and developing strategic nursing care plans tailored to each patient's unique oncology infusion needs
Lead patient and family education initiatives, empowering them with knowledge and confidence throughout their treatment journey
Foster seamless communication across the healthcare team, ensuring critical patient and family information flows effectively to optimize care coordination
Delegate, supervise, and mentor nursing staff while maintaining meticulous documentation that reflects the highest standards of care
Proactively identify variances from patient goals and drive innovative solutions that enhance outcomes and patient satisfaction
Demonstrate clinical leadership by applying advanced nursing knowledge and analytical skills to complex patient situations in the oncology setting
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BSN preferred.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Certifications/Licensures Required
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
Health care provider certification (BCLS).
