Job Description
Role Overview: An experienced RN is sought to join a Medical Oncology Hematology practice, providing comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Follow physician orders, administer chemotherapeutic agents, IV infusions, and injectable medications.
Assess lab results and vital signs, prepare medications safely, and obtain vascular access via peripheral IV, A-port, or PICC line.
Educate patients on discharge and post-treatment care, monitor patients during infusions, draw blood, perform therapeutic phlebotomy, and conduct phone triage.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements such as ONS and QOPI.
Perform holistic nursing assessments, prioritize patient safety, deliver direct care, administer medications, and provide health education.
Collaborate with the healthcare team, schedule treatments, and uphold professional conduct standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
At least one year of oncology nursing experience preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems (Medent, Onco, Allscripts, Soarian) and familiarity with Windows and Office.
Valid RN license in the state.
OCN certification preferred; BLS certification required.
