Radiotherapy Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5 x 8 hours (Monday through Friday) day shift with a start time between 0700 - 0800.

Job Description

The Radiotherapy Technologist will support the Radiation Oncology department. Responsibilities include setting up and aligning patients using various imaging techniques to deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed, assessing patient status during direct interactions, and conducting treatment preparations.

Responsibilities

• Properly set up and align patients for radiation therapy.

• Conduct patient assessments and make appropriate referrals.

• Prepare for treatment delivery, including chart/film checks and room set-up.

• Perform patient set-up and CT scans for radiation therapy planning as necessary.

• Collaborate with radiation therapists and team members on additional tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of radiation oncology experience.

• ARRT certification and California Radiation Therapy Technologist (RTT) license.

• BLS Certification.

• Experience with Varian TrueBeam and/or MOSAIQ preferred.
