Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapy Technologist to join our healthcare team. The Radiation Therapy Technologist is responsible for administering prescribed radiation treatments to patients while ensuring safety, accuracy, and quality care throughout the treatment process. The Radiation Therapy Technologist works closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective radiation therapy services.

The Radiation Therapy Technologist plays a critical role in the treatment of patients diagnosed with cancer and other medical conditions requiring radiation therapy. The Radiation Therapy Technologist is responsible for operating advanced radiation therapy equipment, positioning patients accurately, monitoring treatment sessions, and maintaining detailed treatment records. A successful Radiation Therapy Technologist demonstrates exceptional technical expertise, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

The Radiation Therapy Technologist provides emotional support to patients throughout their treatment journey while maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety and clinical excellence. This Radiation Therapy Technologist position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while ensuring compliance with established treatment protocols and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment according to established procedures.
• Position patients accurately for radiation therapy sessions to ensure precise treatment delivery.
• Review treatment plans and verify treatment parameters before each procedure.
• Monitor patients during radiation therapy treatments and respond to concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate patient treatment records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and healthcare staff regarding patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about radiation therapy procedures and treatment expectations.
• Perform quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols at all times.
• Assist in simulation procedures and treatment planning activities.
• Monitor patient reactions and report treatment-related side effects to the healthcare team.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy regulations.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development programs.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and compassionate treatment environment for patients.

Education:
• Associate's Degree Must be a graduate from an accredited Radiation therapy program Required

Certifications:
• ARRT Radiation Therapy Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Required

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years Experience in Radiation Therapy Preferred
