Job Summary:

As a Radiation Therapy Specialist, you will administer ionizing irradiation to patients based on the precise prescriptions and instructions provided by our skilled department physicians.

What We’re Looking For:
• Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or an equivalent field (Preferred)
• Master's Degree (Preferred)
• Experience in radiologic technology (Preferred)
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT) (Required)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Preferred)
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice (Preferred)
• ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) (Required)
• Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT) (Required)

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy by verifying prescription details and patient identification, explaining procedures to patients, and maintaining safety measures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensure patient comfort during procedures, and address their special needs.
• Monitor patients for any unusual reactions and report findings to supervisors and physicians immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of daily treatments and regularly review patient charts to ensure complete accuracy.
• Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students’ practical skills when applicable.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
