Role Overview: We seek a compassionate Radiation Therapist responsible for delivering precise radiation treatments as prescribed by oncologists, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role involves preparing treatment rooms and equipment, monitoring patients during therapy, verifying prescriptions and treatment plans, and maintaining detailed records in compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments
Prepare treatment areas and patient setup aids
Monitor patient reactions and report unusual responses
Ensure accuracy of prescriptions and documentation
Maintain competency through ongoing training and certification
Collaborate effectively within the healthcare team
Adhere to safety, quality assurance, and departmental policies

Qualifications & Skills

Associate’s Degree and graduation from a JRCERT-accredited program in radiation therapy
Certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
Licensed or licensed within 30 days of hire by the NM Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program
