Role:

Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients following physician prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver precise therapy

• Perform patient assessments

• Document in EMR

• Assist colleagues

• Recognize limitations

• Report adverse reactions

• Educate patients and families

• Ensure safety protocols

• Simulate new patients

• Schedule treatments

• Participate in quality control

Additional Duties:

• Participate in on-call rotations

• Act as a clinical instructor for students

• Perform other assigned tasks in compliance with organizational policies

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of an associate degree or related field, ARRT-T certification, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred

• Demonstrates ability to treat and simulate patients, with strong attention to safety, accuracy, and patient care
