Job Description
We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Physicist or Associate Physicist to ensure the safety and quality of radiation therapy treatments.
Under supervision, you'll calibrate equipment, perform routine quality control, and assist in treatment planning. Your responsibilities include verifying treatment plans, conducting dosimetry checks, designing ancillary devices, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
The role involves performing comprehensive QA on radiation therapy devices, supporting annual machine QA, and collaborating with engineers to maintain equipment compliance.
You will also educate staff and physicians on radiation safety and care for brachytherapy patients, contributing to ongoing departmental training.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in a related field with at least 5 years of experience
Minimum 2 years in radiation therapy, including residency
ABR certification or eligible within 120 days
Proficiency in radiation safety, dosimetry, and equipment operation
Strong communication skills and self-motivation
