Radiation Oncology Physicist

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing treatment plans, conducting dosimetry, and maintaining quality assurance for LINACs and imaging systems. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to develop and review personalized radiation treatment plans.
• Conduct routine and comprehensive quality assurance checks on LINACs and imaging equipment.
• Ensure adherence to all radiation safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Perform essential dosimetry measurements, calibrations, and dose verifications.
• Support the commissioning and application of cutting-edge technologies, software, and clinical guidelines.
• Provide expert physics consultations to physicians and clinical staff on complex patient cases.
• Educate and mentor clinical personnel, trainees, and technical staff on essential physics principles and safety protocols.
• Engage in process improvement, research, and data-driven quality enhancement initiatives.
• Thoroughly document all QA activities, safety checks, incidents, and corrective measures.
• Work within a collaborative, patient-focused environment to optimize clinical outcomes.

Essential Skills:
• Proficient in radiation treatment planning techniques (IMRT/VMAT/SBRT/SRS).
• Expertise in clinical dosimetry.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and effective shielding design.
• Experience in quality assurance for LINACs and imaging systems.
• Familiarity with dose calculation and verification software.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance pertaining to NRC/state radiation regulations.
• Knowledge of PACS/RIS and oncology information systems.
• Competence in medical imaging physics (CT, MRI, nuclear medicine).
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting methodologies.
• Capability in technical documentation and protocol development.
