Job Description
Role: PRN Radiation Oncology Nurse
Responsibilities: Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
Assess patients before and after treatment, manage symptoms and side effects, and administer medications.
Reinforce radiation safety guidelines and educate patients and families on treatment plans, self-care, and follow-up.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Document all care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications & Skills: Strong clinical nursing skills, knowledge of radiation therapy, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
Ability to educate patients and families effectively, and adhere to safety protocols.
Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
