Role: QC Associate – Molecular Biology
Location: Norwood, MA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6+ Months
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role
Our client is seeking a QC Associate – Molecular Biology to support quality control testing and laboratory activities within a cGMP environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, cell-based and potency assays, ELISA, and protein analysis.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform quality control testing of raw materials using established laboratory methods, procedures, and specifications.
• Execute laboratory assays involving molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, potency assays, ELISA, and protein analysis.
• Perform testing using appropriate aseptic techniques and general laboratory instrumentation.
• Follow established cGMP, SOP, safety, and quality requirements during all laboratory activities.
• Accurately document laboratory activities, test results, observations, and other required information.
• Review and maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with quality and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot laboratory testing issues and assist with investigations when required.
• Support laboratory equipment, materials, and reagent management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Collaborate effectively with Quality, Manufacturing, Analytical, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a strong quality culture.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field such as Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
• 1–5 years of experience working in a cGMP laboratory environment.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, cell-based/potency assays, ELISA, molecular biology, and protein analysis.
• Experience with aseptic techniques and general laboratory instrumentation.
• Understanding of cGMP laboratory practices and documentation requirements.
• Strong documentation, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately follow established procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple laboratory activities
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
• Estimated hourly range: $35 to $40/hr on W2
• Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
