Physician Assistant Certified

Role Description The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care in collaboration with orthopaedic spine surgeons including but not limited to: Conducting comprehensive orthopaedic exams, interpreting diagnostic imagine and results, developing and implementing treatment plans. Daily responsibilities also include hospital consults, rounding, surgical first assisting, pre and post operative visits, performing minor in-office procedures as appropriate, and documenting encounters in the medical record. The role also involves coordinating care with supervising surgeons as well as anesthesia/pain management physicians. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Polk and Hillsborough county offices.

Qualifications
• Current Physician Assistant Certification and active, unrestricted Florida PA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience or strong interest in orthopedics, neurosurgery, pain management, or spine care in an outpatient or hospital setting.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting imaging and diagnostic tests, and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.
• Skill in patient education, counseling on procedures and rehabilitation, and clear, compassionate communication with diverse patients and families.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff, and to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard clinical workflows.
• Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality, individualized patient care.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program; BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education, training in advanced spine procedures, and practice development initiatives.
