Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Requirements
• At least 1 year of experience as a physician, preferably in hematology and oncology or internal medicine
• Completion of fellowship training in hematology/oncology
• Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty
• Active Missouri physician license or eligibility to obtain one
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to provide documentation for credentialing, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 90 days
Hematology and Oncology Physician Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments
• Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor treatment response, manage complications, and adjust therapies as clinically appropriate
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based hematology and oncology care while maintaining efficient patient flow
