Pharmacy Technician - Oncology

Role Overview: The Technician-Pharmacy III supports pharmacists in delivering pharmaceutical care by managing medication orders, preparing medications, and ensuring proper distribution and stocking for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle medication procurement, preparation, distribution, charges/credits, and disposal safely and accurately.
• Manage pharmacy operations effectively and participate in inventory management.
• Operate and maintain automation equipment and prepare sterile products for dispensing.
• Provide education and training as needed and contribute to operational goals and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Advanced skills in processing patient information, high-risk compounding, medication history, or specialized certifications.
• Experience with pharmacy automation, Microsoft applications, and hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Strong communication skills; ability to record information accurately.

Education & Certification: Must have PTCB certification, state pharmacy registration, and be a Certified Pharmacy Technician or enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program.
