Job Description
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Patient Services Rep II provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments. Completes financial clearance and authorization duties, serves as the administrative support for assigned providers. Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow up care is completed. Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics.
Required
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting.
- Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public.
Preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
- 3+ years of experience in medical office setting.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma or GED required.
