Join our dedicated team as a Physician - Pathologist (Fee Basis)!
The Department of Pathology is seeking exceptional candidates for a temporary fee-basis Anatomic Pathologist position. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of pathology.
To qualify, candidates must be U.S. citizens, possess an MD degree, hold a valid California (or other State) Medical License, and be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology. As a part of our team, you will primarily focus on surgical pathology and cytopathology, showcasing your professionalism, character, organization, and communication skills.
Your clinical responsibilities will include:
• Sign-out duties in surgical pathology and cytopathology, including GYN and Non-GYN specimens.
• Performing frozen section coverage, FNA clinic and rapid on-site assessments.
• Participating in night and weekend on-call duties.
• Presenting at tumor boards and interdepartmental conferences.
Please note that travel expenses related to relocation or interviews will not be reimbursed.
Benefits and Features
• Gross supervision, microscopic evaluation, and reporting of daily surgical and cytology cases.
• Intraoperative frozen section consultations and rapid on-site assessments during the day.
• Compensation:
• Daily surgical pathology and cytopathology tasks: $2,300
• After-hours evening frozen section consultation: $150
• Weekend/Holiday frozen section consultation: $400
