The Hospital of Central Connecticut is excited to invite Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our dedicated Palliative Care team!
As an Advanced Practitioner (APP), you will play a crucial role in providing top-tier palliative care services for patients and their families facing chronic, serious, or life-threatening illnesses, including those at the end of life. Your expertise in pain and symptom management will be key in enhancing patient quality of life while navigating essential factors such as communication barriers and cultural traditions.
Role: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Setting: Inpatient, Palliative Care
Schedule: Full-time, weekdays only! Enjoy the benefits of no night shifts, weekends, or holidays, with flexible scheduling options available!

Role Scope:
As a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will:
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and formulate comprehensive medical and educational plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop tailored plans for patient care.
• Implement effective treatment strategies for various health issues while referring patients to specialists when necessary.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
• Training: Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year in palliative care preferred; National Board Certification in Palliative Care is a plus.
This is a salaried position. While the compensation is presented as an hourly rate for consistency, it will be determined based on qualifications, location, and other factors after the hiring process.
