The Greater Manchester Region encompasses approximately 2,500 employees, featuring Manchester Memorial Hospital (a 249-bed facility) and Rockville General Hospital (a 102-bed facility), along with a multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services. We proudly serve a diverse population of around 300,000 people across 19 towns.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Oncology/MedSurg Nurse Aide, you will support patients in meeting their basic needs and daily activities by providing essential care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After education, you will also undertake additional Nurse Assistant II competencies to further enhance patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing clerical duties, assisting nursing staff with daily patient care activities, maintaining medical records, transcribing physician orders, and fostering a safe and clean environment. The Clerical Nurse Assistant II role will balance both clerical and clinical responsibilities to effectively meet departmental needs, reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED equivalent; completion of a certified nursing assistant program is preferred.
• Nursing students with one semester of clinicals are encouraged to apply.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire, or to be obtained during the new employee introductory orientation, with maintenance of clinical competency throughout employment.
EXPERIENCE:
You should have a foundational knowledge of medical terminology along with exceptional customer service skills.
