Role Summary:
In this rewarding position, you will provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing radiation therapy, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment while fostering meaningful connections through effective communication.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to tailor nursing care based on each patient's unique needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance treatment protocols.
• Act as a charge nurse when required, supervising day-to-day activities and ensuring high-quality care delivery.
• Respond promptly to requests for information, facilitating communication among patients, staff, and physicians.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Evaluating patients throughout their radiation treatment journey and educating them on potential side effects.
• Implementing and monitoring patient care plans effectively.
• Scheduling necessary diagnostic and treatment planning examinations.
• Recording and communicating patient conditions to relevant parties.
• Coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Documenting physician and nursing orders as required.
• Assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with team members.
