Role Overview and Requirements
In this dynamic position, you will provide exceptional, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental protocols and nursing standards. By working closely with medical professionals and healthcare teams, you will deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, employing established nursing frameworks like "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, aligning with our organization’s core values to ensure an unmatched patient experience and favorable clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients during admission and each shift to promptly identify and communicate any changes in condition.
• Carry out medical procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring meticulous and timely documentation in patient records.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic effects, and promptly respond to any adverse reactions.
• Deliver outstanding care by addressing patient requests swiftly, anticipating their needs, and resolving issues effectively.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and necessary follow-ups, ensuring they fully understand complex medical concepts.
Qualifications:
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Hold an Associate Degree, RN Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.
• Preferred: At least one year of inpatient care experience.
• Preferred: Experience working on a post-surgical floor with various drains.
