Job Summary and Qualifications

The Oncology Nursing Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care by overseeing daily operations and staffing within the unit. This role involves monitoring nursing care in line with established policies and procedures and holding staff accountable for quality outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality care.
• Understanding human growth and development and providing appropriate care across all patient age groups.
• Managing staffing needs and overseeing the interview, hiring, and training processes for new staff.
• Providing clinical expertise and support to staff while overseeing patient care.
• Maintaining unit workflow by ensuring proper staffing levels.
• Coordinating unit activities, including safety protocols and departmental operations.
• Addressing patient, visitor, or physician concerns promptly and professionally.
• Offering leadership, coaching, and guidance to department personnel.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a compact state required.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical experience.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Certification in Chemotherapy Immunotherapy, ONS/ONCC, or related specialty required within 18 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
