Oncology Nurse Coordinator

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee oncology patient care across the treatment continuum.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor treatment responses.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and symptom management strategies.
• Organize chemotherapy and infusion schedules, ensuring treatment readiness for patients.
• Monitor and manage treatment-related side effects and complications effectively.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
• Facilitate care transitions, referrals, and follow-up appointments to enhance patient outcomes.
• Precept or mentor nursing staff and actively contribute to team development and cohesion.
