Location: 183 N Mountain Rd New Britain (10318)
Shift: 3 hour shifts Monday-Friday

The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute prioritizes delivering exceptional, coordinated services to our cancer patients. You will be working with an integrated team of experienced and compassionate healthcare professionals, supported by cutting-edge technology.
As an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse, you will be instrumental in providing holistic, quality nursing care in our outpatient Infusion Centers. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Performing thorough patient assessments and education for patients and their families.
• Safely administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions.
• Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care throughout treatment and follow-up.
• Coordinating infusion visits by communicating effectively with provider offices.
• Triage patients using pathways and consulting with physicians on symptom management and referrals.
• Managing a diverse caseload of patients receiving various infusion and oral therapies.
• Demonstrating excellent communication skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engaging in continuous professional development and prioritizing patient safety and experience.
• Participating in clinical support programs to enhance care throughout the healthcare continuum.
Minimum Requirements:
• Current Connecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or obtained within the first month of hire)
Education:
• BSN is strongly preferred
Experience:
• Two (2) years of previous Oncology Nursing experience is strongly preferred
