As an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse, you'll play a critical role in the care of complex patient populations. Under the guidance of the department leader, your responsibilities will include the assessment, planning, and implementation of high-quality nursing care. Key duties encompass administering chemotherapy, providing specialty infusion therapies, and delivering vital patient education. You'll also engage in telephone triage, coordinate follow-up care, and support practice management. Proficiency in IV placement, medication preparation, and administration is essential, along with a strong foundation in clinical research principles.

• Schedule: 30 HRS Weekly

Your Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting procedural processes as part of a collaborative care team.
• Organizing resources for a safe and efficient procedural flow.
• Performing nursing procedures, including IV placements and medication administration.
• Providing thorough patient education and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Monitoring patient conditions throughout the infusion process and communicating relevant data.
• Administering medications as per physician orders and assisting with care coordination.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining necessary credentials.
• Contributing to staff education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Serving as a resource for patient flow management and fostering collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse education program.
• Active and unrestricted RN licensure in Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in oncology or infusion nursing.
• Understanding of chemotherapy and infusion protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• 3+ years in medical/surgical or ambulatory nursing.
• Experience with Peripheral IV and Port Access.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, preferably EPIC.

Compensation is competitive and based on various factors, including local labor markets and individual qualifications. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentives, and retirement contributions. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $43.63 to $81.04 based on full-time employment.
