Role: On-Call Interventional Cardiologist – Salt Lake City, UT

Location: VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, Salt Lake City, UT

Job Type: On-Call / PRN / Contract

Duration: Approximately September 2026–August 2027

Key Requirements


- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Completed accredited cardiology residency/fellowship training
- Current, full, unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Active BLS and ACLS
- Experience with cardiac catheterization and complex interventional procedures
- Must respond by phone within 5 minutes and report onsite within 30 minutes when activated


Required Clinical Skills


- Cardiac catheterization
- PCI and coronary interventions
- Balloon angioplasty and atherectomy
- Coronary/peripheral vascular stenting
- IVUS and intracoronary Doppler studies
- Rheolytic thrombectomy
- Pericardiocentesis
- Endocardial biopsies
- Intra-aortic balloon pump placement
- High-risk coronary and peripheral interventions
