Occupational Therapist School Setting in San Marcos, TX

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapist license (OT) in Texas

• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred

• Solid understanding of IEP development and documentation

• Skillful in assessments, direct therapy, and consultative services for students with diverse needs

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working well with teachers, families, and related service personnel

• Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student goals and changing caseload demands

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to students, supporting their participation in school routines

• Assess and document students’ functional skills and create individualized treatment plans

• Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

• Provide consultative support and training to school staff to enhance inclusion and student success

• Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain clear, timely documentation

• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements for school OT practice
