Radiation Therapist in Detroit, MI

In this 13-week assignment, contribute your expertise alongside a collaborative team, working with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality patient care. This opportunity focuses on the use of True Beam linear accelerators and requires coordination with one or two fellow professionals per shift.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

• Five days per week

• No on-call responsibilities

• No weekends required

Qualifications:

• ARRT certified in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)

• Current BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a radiation therapist

• Experience with Varian and Aria systems highly preferred

• Proficiency operating True Beam machines

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a small team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Administer precise radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards

• Operate Varian True Beam equipment and utilize Aria information system for patient setup and tracking

• Document treatment details accurately in the clinical record

• Support and inform patients throughout their therapy, providing clarity and compassion

• Work collaboratively with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and physicians to optimize care

• Perform daily equipment quality assurance and uphold safety protocols
