Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Role Overview: Responsible for performing patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician, calculating radioisotope dosages, operating radioscopic equipment, and practicing strict radiation safety.

Qualifications: Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program and California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification. Must possess national certification (Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Registered Technologist, or equivalent) and BLS certification. Requires a minimum of 6 months recent experience or 2 years full-time experience with no more than 1 year absence.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient scans, ensure radiation safety protocols, operate imaging equipment, and accurately calculate dosages.
