Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.90 - $55.35 / hour. Wage will be determined based on your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
Job Summary and Qualifications
• Conduct a range of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Order, prepare, calibrate, store, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and emergency procedures.
• Perform quality assurance checks on imaging equipment and instruments.
• Utilize different radiation detection devices effectively.
• Demonstrate proficiency in necessary software operations (i.e., Meditech, PACS, and Syntrac).
• Ensure accuracy in charge entry and verification of physician orders.
• Manage computer processing tasks efficiently.
• Conduct quarterly inventory of radioactive sealed sources.
• Support the maintenance of departmental records, manuals, and inventory.
• Execute decontamination procedures as required.
• Assist in the cleaning and upkeep of departmental facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering phones and greeting patients, physicians, and the public.
• Complete and maintain educational requirements consistently.
What Qualifications Do You Need?
Experience: A minimum of one year as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
Education: Graduate from an AMA-approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Must be ARRT-N or CNMT licensed with ongoing continuing education as required for licensure.
Other Requirements: Must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 6 months of hire, and hold current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
