As a Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist, you will be integral to performing essential diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures on patients using advanced technology. Collaborating closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams, your role ensures that patients receive clear and accurate imaging results. Join our dedicated team in a PRN position, offering you the flexibility to schedule shifts across different Intermountain facilities, allowing for both work-life balance and professional growth.
• Shift: PRN (as needed); no guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday
• Primary Location: Alta View Hospital
• Additional Opportunities: Potential to pick up shifts at Riverton Hospital, LDS Hospital, or Intermountain Medical Center
• Call Requirements: Rotating weeknight and weekend call availability

Essential Functions
• Utilizes ARRT or modality-specific skills to perform clinical and technical functions
• Verifies patient identity and procedures; prepares and conducts exams per established protocols
• Reviews imaging results for clarity and accuracy, ensuring timely completion of studies
• Adheres to radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements regarding radiopharmaceuticals
• Educates patients, addressing concerns and ensuring their comfort
• Follows strict infection control and safety protocols in all procedures
• Operates complex imaging equipment and systems to achieve superior image quality
• Keeps precise documentation in line with state licensing and Joint Commission standards
• Maintains compliance with protocols for medical necessity, coding, and reporting
• Shares knowledge by assisting with the training of students and staff

Minimum (Required) Qualifications
• Possession of a current state license in the area of practice
• Clinical certification, i.e., ARRT or NMTCB
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
• IV certification for healthcare providers

Preferred Qualifications
• At least one year of clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to see and read detailed information, assess patient care needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment.
• Frequent communication with patients and healthcare providers, necessitating clear verbal understanding, especially during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity required for handling sensitive equipment and performing precise tasks.
• Capability to lift and move patients, as well as carrying supplies of various weights.
• General mobility for patient transport, moving equipment, and navigating busy environments.
• Possible prolonged standing during procedures.

The hourly range for this position is $39.16 - $60.42, based on experience.
