We are seeking an engaging and strategic New Patient Navigator to drive referral partner outreach and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for clinical trial participants. Operating at the intersection of community engagement, patient care, and study operations, you will cultivate high-value relationships with physician referral networks, manage new patient consult workflows, and optimize enrollment pipelines specifically within complex oncology clinical trials. Responsibilities
• Physician & Community Partnership Development: Design and execute strategic outreach plans to build high-value referral networks with community physicians and medical practices; forge partnerships with diverse community organizations to elevate clinical trial awareness and expand subject enrollment pipelines.
• Patient Navigation & Enrollment Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective trial participants, facilitating initial consult scheduling, securing required medical records, and providing end-to-end guidance from initial referral intake through Cycle 1 Day 1 treatment initiation.
• Care Coordination & CRC Handover: Ensure seamless operational handoffs to assigned Clinical Research Coordinators prior to treatment commencement, maintaining closed-loop communication with referring physicians regarding candidate trial status, enrollment, or screen failures.
• Systems, Slot Management & Analytics: Utilize Clinical Trial Management Systems and Electronic Medical Records to monitor study slot availability, match potential subjects to active protocols, track referral pipelines, and deliver data-driven metrics to site leadership and Medical Directors.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Principal Investigators and research team leaders to prioritize screening schedules, resolve operational bottlenecks, and maintain high standards of patient-centric care.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or commensurate professional experience.
• 5+ years of combined experience in patient-facing clinical environments, physician outreach, account management, or healthcare relationship development.
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical research processes and protocol workflows.
• Proven expertise in project management and relationship building, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and handle competing operational priorities with a high sense of urgency.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal intelligence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Advanced technical proficiency in Office 365 products, with demonstrated experience navigating EMR and CTMS platforms.
Preferred Skills
• Prior oncology clinical research or oncology patient navigation experience highly preferred.
Schedule / Shift
