At HCA Healthcare, we are committed to improving human life. Each year, around five percent of all U.S. hospital services occur at our facilities. As a Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse Supervisor, you will play a key role in making an impact through your leadership and expertise.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while overseeing the daily operations and staffing of our medical-surgical oncology unit. Your responsibilities will include:
• Implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
• Overseeing patient care and providing guidance to staff for optimal clinical outcomes.
• Managing personnel needs, including interviewing and training new staff members.
• Ensuring that the unit operates smoothly, maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Addressing patient and physician concerns promptly and professionally.
• Leading and mentoring team members to foster their professional growth.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (or must obtain within 2 years of hire), Master’s in Nursing preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Tennessee or a compact state is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience and 4 years of clinical experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred at hire or within one year.
TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a comprehensive facility with over 740 beds and a variety of medical and surgical programs. Located on a 43-acre campus, we are home to specialized centers such as the TriStar Centennial Heart & Vascular Center and Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute.
