Medical Physicist - Radiation Oncology

Role Overview: The Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology provides essential physics support to the department, ensuring safe and effective radiation therapy through tasks such as weekly chart checks, acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and quality assurance of therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform weekly chart reviews and monitor treatment plans.
Conduct acceptance testing, commissioning, and calibration of radiation therapy hardware.
Maintain and oversee quality assurance procedures for therapy equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered cancer care.

Qualifications & Skills

Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related field.
Certification from the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
At least 2 years of clinical experience or completed a medical physics residency.
Strong knowledge of radiation therapy physics, quality assurance, and equipment calibration.
