Medical Physicist

Intermountain Health seeks a board-certified Physicist to support safe, effective radiation therapy and imaging services. The physicist will perform treatment planning, dosimetry, and comprehensive QA for LINACs and imaging systems, ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists. Responsibilities
• Develop and review radiation treatment plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists
• Perform routine and annual quality assurance on LINACs and imaging equipment
• Ensure compliance with all radiation safety, regulatory, and accreditation standards
• Conduct dosimetry measurements, calibrations, and dose verification
• Support commissioning and implementation of new technologies, software, and clinical protocols
• Provide physics consultation to physicians and clinical staff on complex cases
• Educate and mentor clinicians, trainees, and technical staff on physics principles and safety
• Participate in process improvement, research, and data-driven quality initiatives
• Maintain thorough documentation of QA, safety checks, incidents, and corrective actions
• Collaborate in a team-based, patient-centered environment to optimize clinical outcomes
