Role Overview



The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in senior care, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while mentoring and supporting the caregiving team. This role involves managing shift assignments, overseeing attendance, coordinating coverage, and providing hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL). The Lead Caregiver coaches team members on quality standards, documentation, and hospitality, reviews charting to ensure alignment with individualized service plans, and monitors resident changes to communicate concerns promptly. They support onboarding and mentor new staff, promote safety, compliance, and facilitate smooth shift transitions.




This position combines frontline caregiving with leadership responsibilities, embodying professionalism, accountability, and compassion.







Qualifications & Skills:





- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
