Locum Tenens Medical Oncologist – Ohio | $4,500/24-Hr Call | $500/Hr Callback ~HB

• Opportunity available due to a full-time physician departure.

• $4,500 per 24-hour call.

• $500/hour for callback.

• Combination of outpatient oncology care, inpatient rounding, and call coverage.

• Preferred commitment of 2–4 weeks on-site per month.

• 1:4 call rotation with inpatient rounding responsibilities.

• Average daily patient volume of approximately 15–20 patients.

• Patient population includes new and follow-up oncology patients and benign hematology patients.

• No pediatric patients.

• Supported by a dedicated RN, Medical Assistant, and chemotherapy-certified infusion clinic nurses.

• Participate in tumor board during on-site working weeks.


• Travel and lodging assistance available based on assignment requirements.


Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive community medical oncology care.

Evaluate and manage new and established oncology patients.

Provide care for benign hematology patients.

Provide inpatient oncology/hematology rounding during assigned call weeks.

Participate in the 1:4 call rotation.

Respond to inpatient and urgent clinical needs during call.

Provide weekend coverage when participating in the call rotation.

Participate in tumor board during on-site working weeks.

Collaborate with RNs, medical assistants, infusion staff, and other physicians.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

No specific procedures are required for this position.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Oncology/Hematology – Required

Ohio medical license – Preferred

Candidates requiring Ohio licensure may be considered.

Strong General Community Medical Oncology experience required.

Hematology experience required.
Working Hours: Outpatient clinic: 4–5 days per week during on-site weeks.

Preferred coverage: 2–4 weeks per month.

Call: 1:4 rotation.

Call week runs Friday 8:00 AM through the following Friday 8:00 AM.

24-hour call rate: $4,500

Callback rate: $500/hour

Weekend coverage required during assigned call weeks.

Inpatient rounding required during call weekends.

Coverage dates available from February through August 2027, with several priority call blocks.
