Teleoncology Hematology/Oncology Services

GENERAL:

Services Provided: The Contractor shall provide Hematology/Oncology Specialized Advanced Practice Provider service via telehealth in accordance with the specifications contained herein to Client

Place of Performance: Contractor shall furnish services virtually via telehealth.

License: Candidate shall have a current license to practice medicine or nursing (as applicable)

All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Candidates who have current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or more states, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.

Board Certification:

All Contractor's Advanced Practice Providers(s) must be board certified.

If the APP is a nurse practitioner, they must be board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certifications | ANA (nursingworld.org) with preferred certification as Advanced Oncology Certified Practitioner (AOCNP) from Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Oncology Nursing Society | ONS | ons.org.

If the APP is a Physician's Assistant, they must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) />
All Contractor's staff(s) must be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalency. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must always be kept up to date. Documentation verifying current certification shall be provided by the Contractor to the VA COR on an annual basis for each year of contract performance.

DEA: Contractor shall provide copy of current DEA certificate.

HOURS OF OPERATION/SCHEDULING

National TeleOncology Business Hours: MON-FRI 0 ET Closed on weekends and closed on all Federal Holidays (listed below).

Schedule: MON-FRI variable by site and time zone. Closed on weekends and closed on all Federal Holidays (listed below).

Patients must be seen via telehealth in a timely manner in accordance with Client Rules and Regulations on clinic wait times and consult completion. Contractor shall notify the Client at least monthly about any obstacles to meeting this performance measure.

The Contractor shall be available and present online during normal clinic hours, which will be established, and may be revised, as deemed appropriate for patient care by the Chief Medical Officer. Currently, normal clinic hours are variable by site and timezone.
