Schedule: 7:30 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | Day Shift | Monday–Friday
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Dates: September 27, 2026 – December 26, 2026
Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
Orientation Pay: Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during the orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cytologist/Cytotechnologist to join the Cytology department at St. Peter’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong cytology experience and the required credentials to perform cytology testing in accordance with laboratory standards.
Qualifications/Initial Requirements
✓ Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cytologist/Cytotechnologist; 5 years preferred.
✓ ASCP Board Certification as a Cytotechnologist/Cytologist.
✓ Active New York State Cytotechnologist/Cytologist license.
✓ Current proof of passing PAP proficiency testing (PT) for the current calendar year OR proof of scheduled PT testing within the current calendar year.
✓ FNA experience is not required.
