Job Description
Role: Registered Nurse in the Bone Marrow Transplant ICU, providing specialized critical care to immunocompromised patients undergoing stem cell and bone marrow transplants.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical status.
Administer medications, including chemo and blood products, and titrate drips as needed.
Manage central lines and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and transplant coordinators to develop and implement care plans.
Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff to ensure quality care.
Qualifications And Skills
Current license as a Registered Nurse.
Experience or training in critical care, oncology, or transplant nursing preferred.
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
