Hematology/Oncology Physician

Lynch Creek Oncology Center in Petaluma, CA, is seeking a full-time or part-time Locum Heme/Onc physician to join their team starting in March. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient coverage, with a small percentage of hematology cases. The center offers a flexible schedule and a supportive environment, utilizing Epic EMR.

• EMR is Epic

• Average patient count is 18 per day (16 follow-up, 2 new consults)

• Infusion space has 4 chairs

• Combination of hem/onc and oncology, with 20% hematology (people with anemia)

• Sole provider practice with resources from another clinic

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient coverage

• Manage a patient load of approximately 18 patients per day

• Handle a combination of hem/onc and oncology cases, including approximately 20% hematology

Compensation

• Reg: $500 Hr

• Guarantee of 8 hours per day

• OT to apply after 40 hours per week

Shift & Schedule

• Full time position, looking for 5 days a week of coverage, but flexible for 4 days a week

• Shift times are 9am-5pm (last appointment typically at 4:30pm)

• Provider will have a break in the middle of the day

Requirements

• MD/DO degree required

• CA license required

• CA DEA required

• BLS required

• Preferred BC, will consider truly BE

• Must obtain privileges for Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital

• All specialties require 2 years of current Hospital clinical activity in the specialty

• Gaps greater than 3 months must be explained

• No visa sponsorship available
